NABARUN KUMAR DATTA
Nabarun Kumar Dutta is a winning young tabla player who remains in command in his solo performances, tabla accompaniments, music competitions, and academic scenarios. He is a proud disciple (gandAbandh SAgird) of the renowned tabla maestro Pandit Parimal Chakraborty and represents Farukkhabad Gharana of tabla playing. He received high acclamations from music lovers of India and abroad.
Nabarun received his earlier tabla lessons from Sri Debashish Das and Sri Manilal Chakraborty. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. research project at Visva Bharati University. He was the Topper and awarded Gold Medal in M.Mus at Rabindra Bharati University.

Nabarun received the coveted First Prize at the All India Radio Music Competition. He won the first position at the famous Dover Lane Music Competition, in addition to his other prizes and medals in different competitions around the country.
Nabarun also received Junior Fellowship from the Department of Culture, Government of India, and a Scholarship from CCRT, Ministry of Culture, GoI. He is a B-High grade artist of All India Radio and also performed on the National Television Channel Doordarshan.
