A young tabla talent, Sohon Ghosh, started obtaining his taalim at the tender age of 3 under his father, Shri Nirmal Ghosh. He is presently a ganda-bandhan shishya of the legendary tabla maestro Pt Gobinda Bose ji.
Recipient of numerous accolades, Sohon has triumphed in prestigious competitions such as Dover Lane Talent Hunt, West Bengal Yuva Chhatra Utsav, and the State Level AIR music competition. In 2023, he was honored with scholarships from Sangeet Piyasi and CITI NCPA, marking his dedication and excellence in the field.
His artistry has graced renowned music festivals, including performances at WB Rajya Sangeet Academy, Swara Samrat Festival [Alaap], ITC Young Maestros’ Concert, Shrutinandan, and the esteemed SA Dha Arts of London [UK]. Sohon Ghosh’s rhythmic prowess continues to captivate audiences, solidifying his place as a rising star in classical music.
