After the phenomenal success of 26 November, 2022 SBSM Gharoa Majlis-01 with 80% ICM uninitiated audiences, the Sanjoy Bandopadhyay School of Music [SBSM] is contemplating its second offer in late February 2023.

The Gharoa Majlis-02 will be in a slightly larger venue, still maintaining the exquisite gharoA ambiance. A larger space will help to receive more interested listeners.
SBSM is focused on receiving young audiences from diverse listening choices of different genres of music, e.g., Bollywood, Western Pop, Bangla Band, Rabindra Sangeet, Adhunik, and others, mostly in the age group of 18 to 40 years.
The current SBSM focus is to carefully identify young Hindustani Raga musicians with optimized qualities to enthrall a broad spectrum of audiences and retain the classicality. SBSM welcomes your recommendations.
SBSM has successfully identified highly commendable musicians for Gharoa Majlis-02. However, the recommendation platform is open to receive recommendations for Gharoa Majlis-03, which is scheduled for May 2023. SBSM is looking for four qualities in a Hindustani Raga Musician; (1) optimized musical qualities to enthrall, (2) Kolkata-based, (3) not-so-famous, and (4) young. Please click here to recommend.
